Contemporary
Expand your mind and body in a place where creative imagination and possibilities are endless! Students are encouraged to further develop their technique, flexibility and skills while forming an understanding and appreciation of Contemporary dance as an art form.
Classical Ballet
The most structured Style, but the most elegant by far! Develop Strong Ballet technique, great posture and discipline. This class is hard work, but the results will show... any Ballerina is Beautiful!
Hip Hop
Get down and funky with a style of dance most commonly seen in all the latest Hip Hop, Pop, and R&B film clips. Hip Hop provides a fantastic opportunity for students to incorporate a bit of their own unique style and attitude!
Tap
Move your feet to the beat in our Funky Tap classes! Students will learn about the percussive element of dance that will strengthen co-ordination, timing and rhythm. The music will be upbeat with popular songs suited to each age group. Tap dancing is a great workout for your legs, and the tiny tappers will love being able to make lot's of noise!
Drama
Embrace the theatrical side of life! All Dramatic genres are thrown in for students to gain maximum drama training. This Class supports students Self Esteem and confidence while preparing them to get on stage and perform!
Mini Movers
For ages 3 & 4! Co-ordination still developing? This 30 min class is great for the Kids, but great for Parents too, as they can join in and be part of their child's class. Each lesson our children enter the world of make believe. We encourage the students to wear whatever they desire, day wear, dancewear, assorted costumes or dress ups. This program has been developed to assure that students not only have fun, but are learning the very basics of dance without them even being aware of the technical side being developed.
Policies
- All attended and absent lessons must be paid for; termination of your child's tuition may be the subsequent action of unpaid fees. Classes are to be paid at the time of the lesson. If you choose to pay fortnightly, monthly or by the term this is to be paid upfront.
- JESOD reserves the right to terminate tuition if student or parent conduct and behaviour is inappropriate.
- Parents and or Guardians will not be permitted to sit in and watch weekly classes and rehearsals as it is distracting for all participating students
- JESOD reserves the right to change any class times if unforeseen circumstances arise.
- Updating student/ parent contact information will aid in better communication should there be a problem or change in class times (phone number, address, & medical details), however JESOD is not responsible if parents or guardians are un contactable with the information provided.
- Dance classes can involve risk of personal injury. While JESOD takes all reasonable care in the conduct of its classes, it accepts no responsibility for injury caused during classes or whilst participants are near dance class or concert venues, Or the loss of personal items.
- All music, routines, choreography and images (photographic & video) remain the property of JESOD.
- All of our annual concert costumes remain the copyright property to our studio dressmaker Kim Pemberton of Kims Sew Kreative. You may not reproduce any costumes without prior written consent.
- Each term JESOD releases a newsletter explaining everything happening for the term commencing, it is the parent and or guardian's responsibility to obtain a copy should your child miss class that week. (Newsletter released 1st week in every term). Please DO NOT rely on word of mouth.

Fees
$7 per 45 minute lesson, $5 per 30 minute lesson- unless enrolled in "special offers" before 30th April 2010.
Fees are to be paid whether attended or not.
Payments are to be made by Cash, Chq or Electronic Funds Transfer/ internet banking
(All cheques written to JESOD, EFT payments reference as child's full name).
Fees can be paid weekly, fortnightly, monthly or by the term. Fees must be paid in advance when paying by either fortnightly, monthly or by the term (Pay full term fees up front in the first week & Receive 10% discount).
We ask parents to put the fees in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name on it. There is no dancing during the school holidays or on public holidays. If there is a Newcastle show holiday dancing will be on.
Special Needs Children:
Many children benefit enormously from dance training; children with special needs are no exception. For children with disabilities like Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and Down syndrome dance classes not only assist in the development of kin aesthetics, but also encourage social interaction and physical stamina in each class.
All children who participate in the weekly dance classes are invited to perform in our end of year concert, regardless of their special needs. All medical conditions and medications must be noted on the enrollment form for emergency medical reasons.
PRIVACY STATEMENT
Jacki.E Studios of Dance (JESOD) is the sole owner of personal information collected on the studio premises, and no personally identifiable information from clientele or website visitors can be obtained through this website. JESOD will not sell, share or rent personal information in ways different from what is disclosed in this Privacy Statement.
SECURITY
JESOD takes every precaution to protect clientele information. Our security policy is that only those people who have a need to know have access to the JESOD database, and a security policy is in place to prevent other employees from using the studio database. JESOD does everything to ensure clientele information is protected. All personal information is restricted for use in our office and only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information.

REGISTRATION
JESOD enrolment fee for 2010 is $5 per person. While the registration form is available for filling out and printing from your home computer, this web site is not interactive and therefore no personally identifiable information is at risk.
For safety purposes and in cases of emergency, any and all information given on the registration form may be utilized by a staff member. It is urged that when registering children at JESOD, all of the contact information for parents or guardians be given, including that of a second parent/guardian or emergency contact. All information is retained by JESOD, is completely private and is not sold or rented to any outside organization or entity.
MARKETING PHOTOS
JESOD reserves the right to use photographic and/or video images of its customers for marketing, publicity and advertising purposes. There is a waiver on the Registration Form that states that no personally identifiable information will be given out regarding the images. The "publicity consent" on the bottom of the Registration Form gives JESOD authorization and use of those images without pay or compensation. All representations of the photographic images constitute JESOD property, solely and completely.
NEWSLETTER
JESOD asks for contact information such as name and email address for subscription and mailing information for JESOD's newsletter. Users who no longer wish to receive the newsletter may op-out by contacting our studio office.
