LET'S DANCE!!
A multitude of dance style workshops will captivate not only your feet, your arms, and your hips but will hopefully be a lifelong experience which you can take to the stage, dance floor or even just home to the living room.
Students will learn the importance to warm ups / cool downs and basic knowledge of body alignment and body awareness.
Then the FUN begins with routines choreographed by our permanent dance teachers Miss Melissa Brown (studio principal) and dance teacher Miss Sarah Edwards.
No experience is necessary as all sessions will take you through both the basics in several styles and beyond!
MUSIC TO YOUR EARS!!
You will rock the house down with our very talented Music Teacher Miss Allison! Miss Allison has taught in America & Australia, allowing students to appreciate and develop the same enthusiasm and passion as has for music. Miss Allison was recently landed a role in the Disney hit “High School Musical” which was in October 2007, along with many other equally impressive roles throughout her career.
So naturally Miss Allison is just the right person show you a fun introduction to music. Whether it’s singing, percussion or instruments, every student who participates in her class will be buzzing with songs, rhythms and a love of music.
The MAXIMUM DRAMATIC EXPERIENCE!!
Body & Voice Warm ups, Improvisation Exercises, Basic Drama preparation, Physical Theatre & Theatresport Movements, Concentration Activities, Construction and use of Puppets and Props, Mime, face painting and much more!!
The active involvement of students, in both groups and individual tasks promote self confidence and allow students to develop their Drama skills with friends in a fun and friendly atmosphere at their own pace.
Drama workshop held by both Melissa Brown (studio principal) and K-12 dance / drama teacher Miss Hayley Vimpani.
No experience is necessary as all sessions will guide you through the basics & beyond!
For AGES 5- 16yrs. All Groups arranged by age.
All instruction is of a very high standard and carried out in a friendly and fun atmosphere with the object of creating a desire to learn. Our mission is to encourage students to recognise, appreciate and develop their own talents, participate and enjoy their work while improving their posture, confidence and poise.
How can I become apart of The Performing Arts 2 day Workshop?
Simply contact Melissa Brown on the contact details provided to obtain an application form. All Application forms require a minimum deposit of $30 (payments by cash or chq only) to secure your child's limited place upon being processed. All completed* applications need to be either given to Melissa in person or posted to 15 Tilligerry Track, Tanilba Bay 2319.
The full payment is both expected and appreciated prior to the workshop commencing. Sorry no refunds. * all medical, contact, and permission details must be completed on the application form in case of an emergency and for insurance. Failing to complete all mandatory sections including signature of permission will result in refusal of application.
What is included?
· Every child will receive a FREE “PAW” T-SHIRT
(free t-shirts will be given on the 1st day of the workshop)
· All Food and Beverages (the children who have severe allergies may opt to supply their own food and beverages, & receive a small discount)
· Performing Arts rotational workshops with specialised dance, drama & music teachers
· 8.30am till 3.00pm performing arts Activities and Skill enhancer for 2 days (including arts & crafts, Props, Costume Design, Theatrical Make-up, and face painting)
